Software implementation technology and tool vendors have a long tradition of introducing technology churn - new features, interfaces, languages - that do not provide end users with any tangible benefits, but which provide plenty opportunities to sell new hardware and to "upgrade" application software. What can be done to avoid technology churn, or at least to minimize the impact?
